My Honest Review of the Winx Club x ColourPop New Release

The New Winx Club Collection

On a sunny day in July, I eagerly pulled out my credit card to grab every new item from the American makeup line’s sale. The collection included 6 shadow sticks and one giant highlighter. Although the price wasn’t cheap, I was excited about the duo-chrome shadow stick set. These aren’t regular shadows—a fact I discovered later.

Shadow Sticks: A Magical Surprise

I think my YouTube video describes my opinion perfectly (check it out here), but to summarize, I LOVED the shadow sticks. Each stick is themed around one Winx Club character. After testing them, I was thrilled to find that each one resembled the two main colours of the corresponding character. For instance:

Flora: Pink and green

Bloom: Pink and blue

Musa: Red and purple 

I did swatches here. This duo-chrome detail amazed me and made me appreciate the sticks even more.

The Missing Lite Stix and New Highlighter

While Colourpop restocked the original collaboration, they unfortunately didn’t include the beloved Lite Stix (themed after the villainous Trix). However, they did release a brand new highlighter compact. To my surprise, it was massive in size and delivers a stunning shiny finish. I’m truly obsessed with it.

Overall Impressions

In conclusion, I love my sub-$120 order from Colourpop. I definitely see myself using each product on special occasions. My only criticism is about the art and packaging, which may seem irrelevant to some. The theme of these new makeup items appears very Enchantix-coded and inserting the new style of art with the Charmix transformation seemed a bit lazy. It felt like the franchise was reusing their own branded T-shirt and tank top artwork. On the bright side, the drawings are still gorgeous- adding small elements to each character’s packaging was a cute touch that I greatly appreciated.
